It's been a full day!<br /><br />In the morning, we were oriented on how to do podcasts. This involved taping and editing your audio with the use of audiocity, getting free audio materials from podsafeaudio.com., uploading it on your blog with tools from <a href="http://www.gcast.com">www.gcast.com</a> and feeding it into the RSS with the help of juice (not a drink). Whew! Very informative though quite overwhelming.<br /><br />After lunch, we had to plan on our podcast presentation to be "aired" in the afternoon. There were five of us in the group. Each one has to write a short script on what he/she is going to say during the podcast which is in a discussion format.<br /><br />As if these were not enough, we have also been tasked to write a blog obout this day's session and post a comment on the blogs of three workshop colleagues.<br /><br />I'd like to think that the fnf people have so much faith in us to give us this load. I am learning how to do a blog. I think it will take a lot of practice until I get the feel of it and produce a good blog. I have visited some blogs before but have not seen the great possibilities that blogging affords.<br /><br />The workshop discussion about blogs this morning was very good and has widened my perspective on this new tool. I realized that blogging can be a very effective soundboard. Critical, though responsible, information can be posted in blogs.<br /><br />So how's that to stop the killing of journalists? Now journalists can write about critical issues without the worry of having bullets through their heads (just spams and hacking on their web page, perhaps, as warned by Mr. Quezon III, our resource person). Blogs can be a way to restrain corruption and malpractices because those who do them will find themselves exposed...
